Simultaneous observations with superconducting gravimeter (#009) and absolute gravimeter FG-5 (#210) have been carried out in Kyoto University since April 1999. We estimated the calibration factor of SG (#009) from comparison of these data. Although the precision of calibration factor cannot reach 0.1%, some characteristics of absolute gravity measurements in Kyoto have been revealed in relation to urban noise and disturbances caused by meteorological changes and regional earthquakes. Among them, the rainfall effect is significant, though this effect was scarcely noticed so far. It will be necessary at least one month to obtain the accuracy of 0.1% from simultaneous observations of SG and AG. We also report that gravity value at Kyoto C station (JGSN75 Fundamental Gravity Station) is apparently decreasing at a rate of 3.2 μ Gal/year.
