The leaf-mining agromyzid flies collected from the Republic of El Salvadorand the Republic of Guatemala and preserved in the California Academy of Sciences, San Francisco, were examined. Of the 22 species in eight genera that were identified, seven are new to science: Ophiomyia gracilimentula, Agromyza megaepistoma, Japanagromyza nebulifera, Calycomyza parallela, and Liriomyza pectinimentula from El Salvador, and Melanagromyza dolabrata and Phytobia guatemalensis from Guatemala. The remainder, except for Japanagromyza arnaudi Sasakawa, 1963, are new to the El Salvadoror Guatemala fauna. The species originally described as Agromyza approximata Frost, 1936 is transferred to Japanagromyza.
