Abstract

The flabellinid nudibranch Chlamylla atypica (Bergh, 1899) is described and illustrated based on more than 200 specimens collected from the Sea of Japan coast of Hokkaido, Japan. Notes on the diet, reproductive system, and prey-related colour differences are also given. The present record constitutes a southward range extension for the species.
