1501 Examination for Expanding the Service Time by Using Visualization Technology : Approach for Reduction of Unavailable Time Planned in Advance

Abstract

Recently, the number of systems which run in virtualization environment has increased because of the improvement of reliability and the performance. At the same time, among the authors' company, the demands of users that asking for a extended service time of the internal system, which supports people in the management of their projects, kept going higher. To fulfill those demands, the authors considered a solution by using the virtualization technology. In this paper, we will firstly exam the countermeasures for expanding the service time of the system which is used by virtualization technology, then evaluate the result of the countermeasures and eventually find out whether it is an effective way to realize the extended service time or not.
