Abstract
Nowadays the number of PBL (Project Base Learning) courses at engineering schools is increasing. But students having no experience with a project tend to get astray in their first experience and learn little by joining a project in the course. The key is how to let them prepared to join a project. The method implemented is as follows. First, the selected minimum project management knowledge is given to students. Next, tiny short (about one-week) projects are undertaken repeatedly; in which students may experience failure in apply PM technics. And, finally, students challenge a targeted project to finish in success, which may promote students' motivation to study further on PM. This method was evaluated by the course with 160 students in this spring. The student who had no experience with project now understands the essence of PM technics. And they can now make a project plan, manage own project, and complete it.
