So called powders were classified into the following three groups, 1) granule, 2) powder, 3) colloidal gell, by the relationship between particle size and characteristics of packing, fluidity and others. Considering these three groups, the packing of mixture of particle of two size was studied. In loose packing of mixture, minimum apparent specific volumes were clearly found in the mixtures of granule and granule, granule and powder, and granule and colloidal gell, as in the case of Hors field and others, but unclearly in the mixture of powder and powder, and not in the mixture of powder and colloidal gell. From these results and literatures, structure of these powder beds, and mixing properties were discussed.
