Abstract
This paper deals with the discussion about characteristic data on two typical types of pneumatic conveyor. These are namely floating type and plugging flow type.
They have many merits and demerits, while their power consumption are much more expensive compared with the other types of mechanical conveying systems.
Consequently, in the case of planning, it is desirable to select a suitable type of lower power consumption for the given conditions and to determine the details of it from the economic view point.
The characteristics of each type is compared with their specific power consumption by the results of experiments. And the suitable applying fields of them are shown.
