Abstract
This report is on study of manufacturing method of JIS Z 8901 test dusts for industrial testing.
No. 1 dusts prepared for perfomance, function and wear tests of machines and apparatus such as dust collecter and various kinds of meters, are prepared by crushing So-ma silica sand with specified composition in a ball mill.
The optimum manufactiring condition is determind from viepoint of easiness and shortening of process time.
The sample No. 1 are prepared by grinding 1000g So-ma silica sand in a ball mill for 2 hours and then passed through 297μm sieve 1000g of the residuals on the sieve are again ground in a ball mill for 3 hours.
The relation of the supply mass condition versus the dispersion exponent and yield are shown.
