Abstract
The classification efficiency is considerably affected by the method of particle size measurement.
Here, the effect of particle size measurement on the assessment of classification efficiency was investigated numerically. For ideal classification, the assessment error by a standrad test sieve is affected by the cut size, the particle size distribution, and the opening progression. The error amounts to several dozen percent, and the error profiles are figured in the three dimensional classification efficiency chart.
