Abstract
The liposomes encapsulating a Adenosine-3′, 5′-cyclic Monophosphate (c-AMP) sodium salt solution were prepared by the reverse-phase evaporation method. The liposomes were made from the mixture of dipalmitoyl lecithin, dicetyl phosphate and cholesterol. The encapsulation of c-AMP sodium salt in liposomes was determined by the measurement of the optical density at 259nm. The size of liposomes was determined by the photon-correlation method.
The experimental results show that these liposomes were reduced in size up to 0.4-0.5μm by the addition of dicetyl phosphate. The encapsulation ratio of the c-AMP salt solution increased up to about 55% by the addition of cholesterol.
