抄録
The pneumatic conveyance tests of PVC and PTA powders which have fairly good fluidities, were carried out by making use of a practical scale line 25A pipe approximately 40m long.
The variation of the pressure in the tank and pipes, the flow pattern and conveyance efficiency were studied in a wide range of air velocity of about 1-20m/s.
The conveyance flow patterns were classified into three regions: suspension, plug conveyance and dune conveyance in the unstable and transition state.
The conveyance efficiency showed the peak value in the plug conveyance with the intermediate height of the settled layer at an average air velocilty of 2-3m/s.
