抄録

This session investigates the current situation and future prospect of Japanese corporate risk management. We discussed how risk management in Japan has developed differently from those of other countries to be sustainable in risky environment. We argue that Japanese companies will develop their own unique Enterprise Risk Management in an integrated way of “top down” management and the long standing “bottom-up” approach. The session concluded that research on corporate risk management will need more analysis based on real data of risk management practices in Japanese companies.
