Utilization of Personalized Social Search at the time of the earthquake

Abstract

In this paper we consider the situation that using a social search. Recent emergence of social media demands many users enjoy reading the social media generated by their friends or by people who are close to them in the social network. Additinaly, when the Great Eastern Japan Earthquake occurred, many users try to collect information of the earthquake and confirmation of the safety of family or friends using a social media. We developed a social search system, Ego-Centric Social Network search engine and use Twitter data at the time Geat East Japan Earthquake to analysis a effective utilization of a social search.
