Flooded Photos and Medium

Abstract

This paper is a report of “Memories Salvage” Project that reliefed approximately 700,000 flooded photos by IT in Yamamoto town. In addition, this paper presents some topics about “media” studies: different specialities between analogue (paper) and digital (data), spedialities of photo as a media, photos as a device of familiarity, scraps as a media, and so on.
