Design and Development of Tablet-based Digital Teaching Material for Annular Eclipse Lectures based on Cooperation with a Museum

Abstract

Tablet-based digital teaching materials and their applications are attracting attention. In this research, we focused on an annular solar eclipse observed in Nagoya on 21th May 2012, and developed a teaching material with a tablet device for learning the solar eclipse. This paper shows its actual constructing method, our implemented 3D and 2D digital leaning contents, and designed interfaces. Through the course of lecture, our proposed methods and interface's validity were confirmed.
