Japan is a frequent occurrence of natural disasters nation. However, less people than expected have suffered natural disasters that caused extensive damage in fact. Actually, it is considered that the concepts on disasters and disaster phenomena are learnt through the Popular Culture or Media. Among that, the influence of movies is especially deeply and the significant turning point is considered to be the 1970s. This study suggests that in the 1970s, that various kinds of panic hit films were released leads to the formation of stereotypes and concepts of natural disasters.
