Abstract

This study viewed transient relationships on the Internet that were seen in processes of online datings. I interviewed 18 girls to clarify online datings of adolescent girls. As a result, 12 girls had realized online datings. Although they had realized online datings on their own, they did not relate to persons that they got to know on the Internet. This study defined transient relationships as new relationships that disappeared in a short term, although girls knew each others by online datings to establish heavy and continuous relationships.
