We hypothesized that college students who exhibit new type of depressive tendency, have a higher internet addiction disorder tendency, and lead stressful lives, all of which tend to develop a more severe digital dementia tendency. Conversely, students who have a higher psychological resilience, show a preference for exercising with others and higher levels of quality of life (QOL), all of which suppress this digital dementia tendency. Longitudinal data collected by questionnaire surveys of university students in the information sciences were analyzed by structural equation modeling, and the results appeared to support our hypothesis.
