Insights from the Symposium on Intercultural Classes using the ICT

Abstract

This paper explains the Students Meet Internationally through Language Education (SMILE) project and its review by participants in the SMILE symposium held at February 2021. We arranged two Japanese high schools and two Taiwanese high schools connected with online meeting tools in the SMILE project. By using those tools, both high school students made English conversations. The project helped the students and teachers by supporting their international communication and providing a learning support system named Dialogbook we had developed.
