Stochastic Analysis of Barkhausen Effect in Ferromagnetic Alloys and Its Application to Assessment of Material Degradation

This paper is concerned with a nondestructive evaluation (NDE) of material degradation in ferromagnetic materials. The dynamics of the domain-wall motion is characterized by a stochastic differential equation. The evaluation of material degradation is formulated as the parameter estimation problem of the stochastic system with the unknown coefficients. The identification problem is considered for estimating the statistical parameters of the domain-wall dynamics.
