This instrument is designed to contribute to anthropological studies or various other studies related to facial development by determining the condition of development of the body outline. It is worked by sliding a slider connected to a pantograph in a given direction over a person's portion to be described, thereby giving a full-size projection. This instrument is arranged so that a section crossing any point, i e. any facial curve, either vertical or horizontal, can be obtained. Besides, this instrument can be used not only as a cephalometer but also as a craniometer.
