An Eurasian Honey Buzzard chick with an eye deformity fledged at Mt.Kimpo, Kumamoto, southern Japan

Abstract

In 2009, we found an about twenty-day-old nestling of the Eurasian Honey Buzzard Pernis apivorus with a deformed left eye at Mt. Kimpo in Kumamoto, southern Japan. However, the chick fledged successfully in mid-August.
