Fatigue crack of orthotropic steel deck with trough rib has become a serious problem in terms of maintenance. As a countermeasure, cutting weld bead method which cut the welding joint between deck plate and trough rib and join them by bolts with patch plate has been studied. However, the influence of this method on the effect of reinforcement on transverse direction of steel deck has not been investigated. In this paper, FE-analysis was carried out to clarify the influence of the reinforcing range on the effect of reinforcement. As a result, Standard range of reinforcement is proposed considering relation between the track load position and the effect of reinforcement.
