Renewal construction in urban highway requires minimal traffic control and rapid construction. In addition, in the case of replacement with steel decks from RC decks, longitudinal joints become problems in between new decks and old those. Therefore, this study considered longitudinal joint structure during bridge deck replacement. Firstly, the relative displacement of adjoining different decks was investigated by finite element analysis that targets whole bridge model. Secondly, this study proposed longitudinal joint structure for suppression of relative displacement, accelerated construction and drainage structure. Finally, the durability of longitudinal joint structure was verified by moving wheel load test.
