Abstract

This paper describes experimental results of compression failure properties of concrete deteriorated due to alkali silica reaction. Compressive cyclic loading tests were carried out on concrete cylinders deteriorated due to alkali silica reaction to investigate by comparing with the proposed formulas for sound concrete. As a result, it was confirmed that compressive fracture length wasn’t increased expansion strain and depends on compressive strength of the specimen much as sound concrete. In this study, it was confirmed that tangential modulus elasticity on reloading curve at compressive failure area can’t match with the proposed formulas for sound concrete with good accuracy.
