The authors have developed a precast PC deck having mechanical joints named as Cotter joint for replacing deteriorated RC slabs on highway bridges in express ways. To evaluate the structural behaviors of the joints,static load carrying capacity and fatigue strength of the precast decks having the Cotter joints,essential beam tests and static loading and wheel trucking tests with full scale deck specimen were carried out. In the paper, static loafing test results of two specimen such as deflection, cracking of concrete and strains in cast iron parts of the joints are shown comparing two deck specimen by changing the loading points. Then the static load carrying capacities are evaluated by fitting numerical cracking patterns and existing punching shearing capacity equations for RC and PC slab
