In this study, bending loading experiments were carried out on flat RC beams with noncontact lap splices in the pure bending section to investigate the effects of the spacing of lap splices and the length of joints on the fracture properties. As a result, it was clarified the spacing of lap splices and the length of joints do not significantly affect the load-bearing behavior, cracking properties, and adhesion properties of RC beams. From this, it can be concluded that the application of lapped joints has very little effect on the structural performance of RC beams within the scope of this experiment.
