This paper summarizes a series of investigations for evaluating bond strength and effective bond length of basalt FRP (BFRP) grids to concrete by compairing that of BFRP sheets. Double-lap shear tests were carried out considering increasing thickness of BFRP grids, surface treatment method and curing time of primer. It is observed from results that the bond strength and effective bond length of BFRP grids are on the same level with those of BFRP sheets. Using sand blasting enhances the bond strength higher than using a disk grinder. Coating with a primer heightens it a little, but decreases it largely, in case of spending double time of work-life of primer as a curing time. Moreover, it was found that high level of those were secured in case that the increasing thickness accures over 5mm.
