Abstract

A series of observations on the early stages of developmental processes and application of genome manipulation technologies in the abalone Haliotis diversicolor diversicolor have made it pos-sible to induce successfully tripoid animals in the species. The present paper analysed the relation-ships of genotypes between the parents and their diploid and triploid offspring sib populations thus induced to estimate rate of gene-centromere recombination at the four loci coding isozymes: phos-phoglucose isomerase, malic enzyme, leucine-aminopeptidase, and malate dehydrogenase in the species and compared the estimates with those in Haliotis discus hannai reported before.
