100%水素雰囲気焼鈍炉の設備と特性

抄録

The new type batch annealing furnace, which utilized high convection in the inner cover with 100%H₂ atmosphere, was developed in early 1970's in Austria for brass industry. The technology was converted for steel industry at the end of 1970's. These annealing furnaces were introduced first in Europe for higher productivity and better surface for automobile panels. The performance is evaluated excellent.
This type of annealing furnace was installed at Wakayama Steel Works for the first time in Japan for estimation. The main facilities and fundamental characteristics are reported here in detail.
The results so far are quite satisfactory in productivity, uniformity, running cost and safety.
