Abstract
The experiment was conducted to determine the effects of removing alubumen of seed on rooting vigour, which is indicated with number, longest length and dry weight of emerged roots in this report. The young seedlings used for the experiment were 1.5th and 2nd leaf stage seedlings which were different in the alubumen content. The results obtained were as follows ; (1) Rooting of the 1,5th leaf stage seedlings decreased when the alubumen was removed. (2) Rooting of the 1,5th leaf stage seedlings was significantly more vigorous than of the 2nd leaf stage seedlings.
