Failure in Chymotrypsin Enhancement of Human Rotavirus Infectivity

Med., 1987, 151(1), 127-128-Effects of α-chymotrypsin on human rotavirus infectivity and hemagglutination activity were investigated using the KUN strain which was grown in the absence of trypsin and nonifectious. No activating effect of the enzyme on the virus infectivity was found, while HA titers of the virus rapidly decreased after exposure to the enzyme.
