Abstract
By modifying the Schlossmann's solution, which was found in our hands (Sato and the present writer) to injure seriously the sensibility of the rabbit ear vessels against adrenaline, some fluids have been devised for perfusing the rabbit ear vessels without interfering with the sensibility against adrenaline. They are for example: 10 grms. sodium citrate, 100 c.c. old serum, and Tyrode or the normosal solution to 1000 c.c. or 40 c.c. of the 10% sodium citrate, 100 c.c. old serum and the Tyrode or normosal solution to 1000 c.c. They do not increase the sensibility at all compared with the pure Tyrode or pure normosal solution, but enable us to determine the epinephrine in blood contrary to the latter. The least concentration of adrenaline determinable with the rabbit ear vessels perfused with such a fluid is 0.0001 mgrm. in 1 c.c.
