Abstract

I. Blood picture in infantile beriberi, infantile preberiberi and infantile B-avitaminotic dyspepsia is characterized by 1) anemia-and hypohemoglobinemia, 2) thrombocytosis, 3) neutropenia in almost all the cases, lymphocytosis and esoinophilia in soave cases, nuclear shift to the right and an increase of neutrophiles with pathological granules.
II On an administration of vitamin B, relation of varieties of leucocytes, nuclear shift and thrombocyte count return or draw near to normal first when in the stage in which anemia, abnormal distribution of.different blood platelets and Arakawa's reaction of mother milk have shown only a slight improvement.
