A procedure to apply the extract by the method of Folin, Cannon and Denis to the colorimetrical method of Suto and Kojima for as-saying the epinephrine is described in text. It consists of adding to the extract corrosive sublimate and acetic acid in the proper amounts, just as in the latter method. By this modification one is enabled now to apply simultaneously one and the same material to the Suto-Kojima method and all the biological methods for estimating epinephrine.
Further, the determination on the bovine suprarenal medullary tissue shows the identification of the values of epinephrine determined by the Suto-Kojima method and the present one. Namely there is a small difference between those obtained by the colorimeterical method of Folin, Cannon and Denis, and those by the Suto-Kojima and the present as well.
