Abstract
In the present paper the rabbit intestine strip method for estimation of the epinephrine concentration in blood, practised in our Laboratory, that is by Kodama and by us, has been fully illustrated. The criticisms made by Stewart and Rogoff are quite faulty.
In the present investigations, the cava pocket method for collection of the suprarenal vein blood and the rabbit intestine strip method for determination of the epinephrine concentration in the sample were employed. Only in a single experiment the denervated eye reaction of the previously bilaterally splanchnectomized cat was used instead of the rabbit intestine strip method.
