抄録

It is well-know that a parabolic arch is the optimized shape for its dead load. In some country, the seismic force is the dominant load for structural design. The objective of this paper is a search for the optimized arch subjected to earthquakes. A sequential quadratic programming method is adopted as the optimization method. In the optimization, earthquake response analysis is executed. The result of this report is that the optimized shape subjected to the dead load is the moderate optimized shape subjected to some earthquakes.
