These days, not a few transportation infrastructure planning can not be implemented due to lack of residents' consensus or public acceptance. In this paper, I elucidate social psychological possibility to promote public acceptance of transportation planning while regarding the situation as a social dilemma (Fujii, 2003). It is discussed that people's perception of procedural fairness regarding governmental procedure and people's trust on government are social-psychologically important, and changeability of planning and appropriate apologizing for mistakes of the planning are crucial to increase public acceptance.
