A Study on Hierarchical Estimation of Displacement Vectors by Using Wavelet Transform

Abstract

This study is an early works to motion compensation using Wavelet Transform. This paper describes a new method to extract pan-tilt vecor quantity of image sequence. We make use of Wavelet Transform for making Hierarchical Pixels. And this method applies to video scene adaptive coding that we proposed.
