An Optimization Model of Viewpoint and Visual Field for the Detection of an Appearing Object

Abstract

In this paper, we investigate the mathematical model of detection of an object by visual system. We treat the problem as the estimation of position of objects. Given the probabilistic distribution of position of objects, the proposed model controls the viewpoint and visual field so that estimation error is minimized.
