Optimization of reflective TN-LCDs Using a Retardation Film(2) : Effect of Δn(λ) on Electro-Optical characteristic

Abstract

A reflective achromatic TN-cell is proposed, and the effect of Δn_s(λ) and Δn_b(λ) on the electro-optical properties of the cell is clarified, where Δn_s(λ) and Δn_b(λ) are the birefringence of liquid crystal and retardation film, respectively.
