To examine how antenna noise characteristics of plane type antenna vary with respect to the propagation condition in Bangkok. Daytime antenna noise for plane type antenna are low, but in the nighttime, antenna noise is increased by about 0.6dB. This is caused by the condensing of dews on the plane type antenna's cover accompanied by the lowering of temperature in the nighttimes. In Bangkok nocturnal dews are observed about 350 times a year. When installing a receiving antenna for Ku-band satellite signals, careful consideration should be given with respepct to the selection of antenna types.
