Abstract
We have designed an MSK(Minimum Shift Keying) demodulator IC for a CS(Communication Satellite) PCM audio receiver. A synchronous detector, a x/2 phase shifter, an oscillator, a carrier recovery circuit, a clock recovery circuit and a lock detector are integrated in this IC. Using this IC, the synchronous detection at low input C/N of 2dB and the AFC performance from -2 to +4MHz input frequency deviation without a bit error rate degradation could be realized.
