One of the most advantageous and simplest methods for the realization of stereoscopic television broadcasting is a field-sequential stereoscopic method. There are several possible scanning modes in field-sequential display for a stereoscopic view. The results of a subjective experiment designed to compare these scanning modes confirmed that the 4 : 2 interlacing system performs well with regerd to 3D picture quality.
