Abstract

In order to overcome rain attenuation on down-links in the satellite broadcasting, this paper are proposed two satellite systems in which the number of beams are 6 and 10. A simulation of power distribution is carried out using the precipitation data of AMeDAS. The results show that the unavailable time can be reduced to one third approximately and the 10-beam system may be more suitable from view of compensation of rain attenuation.
