The new method of Measurement on Carrier-to-Noise Ratio for Satellite Broadcast Transmissions

Abstract

A new accurate Carrier-to-Noise ratio measurement method for MUSE-FM and NTSC-FM satellite broadcasting is developed. The key feature o the new method is in-channel noise level measurement by suppressing the sideband spectrum using the gate-sweep function of the spectrum analyzer.
