Picture Quality Scale considering the statistical features of the monochrome still image

Abstract

The estimation accuracy of the picture quality scale previously reported depended on the image content. To improve the influence of the image content, we newly employ the global statistical features and texture features of the image in addition to the distortion factors of the image. The result shows that correlation coefficient between MOS and PQS (New) obtains 0.968.
