Rock magnetic properties are one of the basic parameters to study the process of the eruption. Properties such as intensity of the natural remanent magnetization, Curie temperature, blocking temperature and coercive force might effect on the abnormality of the total intensity of the geomagnetic field. Dacitic lavas including bombs and pyroclastics erupted in 1991,1992,1993 and 1994 (1995), were analyzed by vibrating sample magnetometer (VSM). Temperature dependence of the hysteretic properties in correlation with the time of eruption will be mainly reported. Preliminary analysis on binding energy of electron in Fe2p3/2 orbit, by x-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (ESCA) of the Japan International Research Center for Agricultural Sciences will also be shown.
