Abstract
The authors summarize the results of the experimental studies they have made on this subject since 1950. The administration of anterior pituitary hormones (Praehormon, Antuitrin Growth) and Antuitrin "S" increases the thiamine content in the ocular tissues and cerebrospinal fluid, while the administration of the posterior pituitary hormone decreases it with a few exception. The thiamine content in these tissues decreases from 2 to 5 days after hypophysectomy.
