STUDIES ON VITAMIN A IN ANIMALS UNDER THE COLD : (I) ON THE GROWTH OF RATS AND VITAMIN A UNDER THE COLD STRESS

Abstract

Some evidences were given to show that a cold environment has a depressing effect on the growth accompanied with decrease in the vitamin A content of the kidney in rats. Supplementation of vitamin A resists the depressing effect on the growth.
